Our Unique School

Right from the start of Zoe we wanted to create a new type of international school for the local and expat community in Yokohama.

-A school where all families could feel welcome - even if parents couldn't speak English well, or were both Japanese.

This is why we welcome all nationalities and offer Japanese admin support.

-A school where all students could have the opportunity to learn in English - even if their level was lower than native speakers.

This is why we offer specialized EAL and after-school support.

-A school where students could maintain or learn Japanese - to have more opportunities opened in Japan.

This is why one of our core classes is Japanese.

-A school where students would feel loved and valued - to be a positive change in their world.

This is why our school is founded on Christian values.

While it hasn't always been easy, it certainly has been rewarding to see students "learning for life".
